Efinox has 3 flattening machines of different types:
– Cold-rolled flattening machine with in-line trimming, a state-of-the-art plant that capable of flattening thicknesses between 0.4 and 3 mm.
– Cold-rolling flattening machine capable of flattening thicknesses between 0.5 and 3 mm, maximum width 1500 mm and up to 8500 mm in length.
– Hot-rolled levelling machine, capable of levelling thicknesses between 3 and 10 mm maximum width 2000 mm up to a maximum length of 12000 mm
Flattening is a simple and fast process for obtaining flat and tension-free sheets to size, which simultaneously allows high savings and an optimal end product while avoiding subsequent treatments.
Flattening is highly recommended to avoid the well-known problems in some coil. coil processing such as cutting, profiling, stamping and blanking. Plates coming out of the rolling lines often present a number of defects, generally generally attributable to widespread non-planarity phenomena.
During cutting, the internal tensions of the starting material are released causing visible deformations, so the flatness of the material becomes of major importance for obtain a high quality end product without subsequent steps and therefore additional costs.
